Maryland Heights, situated in St. Louis County, Missouri, is a middle-class, second-ring west-central suburb of St. Louis that gained incorporation in 1985. The city boasts several recreational facilities and parks, contributing to its vibrant community.

The city of Maryland Heights manages four parks, including Aquaport, a waterpark; Sportport, a versatile recreational facility; and Dogport, a dedicated park for dogs. Creve Coeur Lake Memorial Park, operated by St. Louis County, holds historical significance as a former summer resort in the early 1900s. The park encompasses a 320-acre lake and features the scenic “Dripping Springs” waterfall, marking it as St. Louis County’s inaugural park.

The Historic Aircraft Restoration Museum, located at the Creve Coeur Airport, hosts an extensive collection of aircraft from the 1920s and 1930s. Vago Park, positioned at the intersection of Fee Fee Road and Midland Avenue, spans 20 acres and offers amenities such as three playgrounds, a splash pad play area, a paved walking trail, a sand volleyball court, pavilions, a gazebo, and picnic areas with barbecue grills. Notable within Vago Park is the “Veterans Memorial Walk,” featuring a sidewalk lined with bricks imprinted with the names of Maryland Heights residents who have served in the United States Armed Forces.

Eise Park, located near Rose Acres Elementary School at the intersection of Glenview Drive and Bourbon Street, includes a pavilion, sand volleyball court, playground, splash pad play area, picnic tables with barbecue grills, walking paths, a basketball slab, and restrooms. Quiet Hollow Park, a smaller park situated at the intersection of Marine Avenue and McKelvey Road, adds to the city’s recreational offerings.
